About the Author
James Camp, of Hillsdale County, Michigan, enlisted as a Private in the 18th Michigan Infantry on July 31, 1862 at Hillsdale. He mustered into Company D on August 26 at the age of 19. James Camp died on July 4, 1864 at Decatur, Alabama. He was originally interred at Decatur, but is now buried at Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi.Documents for this Author:
