Chauncey Bunyea, of Jackson, Michigan, enlisted as a Private in the 16th Michigan Infantry Company K on March 4, 1862. He was mustered into service at the age of 21 that same day and was promoted to Corporal. Bunyea re-enlisted in the service on March 10, 1864 at Bealton, Virginia. Chauncey Bunyea was discharged from service on June 16, 1865 at Camp Chase, Ohio. He lived in Plymouth, Michigan after the war.Documents for this Author:
