About the Author
Byron D. Anthony (b. 1840), of Bedford, Michigan, enlisted in the 17th Michigan Infantry Company H on August 11, 1862 at Barry County, Michigan. He was mustered into service as a 22-year old Private on August 19. On May 12, 1864, Anthony was taken prisoner at Spotsylvania Court House, Virginia. He was held at Andersonville Prison in Georgia and was later paroled. Byron D. Anthony was discharged from service on June 12, 1865 at Detroit, Michigan.Documents for this Author:
