About the Author
On September 24, 1861, Private Leroy Allen of Hillsdale, Michigan enlisted in the 2nd Michigan Cavalry Company G at the age of 18. He was mustered into service on October 2. Leroy Allen died of disease on April 13, 1863 in Franklin, Tennessee. He is buried in Stone River National Cemetery at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, grave #3574.Documents for this Author:
