The Michigan Civil War Collection is a compendium of letters, diaries, muster rolls, pay rolls, etc. that have been preserved, digitized, transcribed, and uploaded to this website. These documents are from Michigan Infantries and Cavalries; Wisconsin and Indiana Iron Brigades; President Abraham Lincoln; Generals George A. Custer, William T. Sherman, and George B. McClellan; and various other generals, politicians, and state regiments. The collection also includes medals, ribbons, photographs, dried foliage, bullets, cannon fuses, and much more.
The collection is continuously growing and more documents are being transcribed, so this website will be constantly changing as more material is uploaded. Keep checking back!
